HISTORY
Martin van Oppen, a Chartered Surveyor and Land Agent by profession, with a lifetime of experience of horses including polo in Assam, India in the early days followed by a number of years as a pprofessional riding instructor in South Africa where he owned the Pretoria Equitation Centre and was instrumental in starting both a local polo club and a drag hunt before returning to the UK.
With Martin van Oppen's passion for horses, farming and the countryside, he took the farm on and was able to build it into the equine business it is today.
The polo ground was laid in 2005 with a special grass species mixture ideally suited for polo. The ground has been enjoyed for various small and large events.
In the winter we now care for over 60 horses on 150 acres of grassland and continue to build its potential.
